Just in time for @thirdfridaydurham , I am the new artist in residence!
My work as a visual artist and poet revolves around the Create "You" concept, the belief that striving to be present and allowing various elements of your life to intermingle can manifest in unexpected and fulfilling ways.
The display at Jeddah’s space come from various phases in my artistic journey. As we hung the pieces, I was able to explain the common thread of strong feminine energy that is in each piece and how that speaks to the regular inspiration I feel when working with strong women in the arts, business, and beyond. Just Jenus Art’s mission is to increase positive images of black women and men and inspire people to see beauty in Art creation.
