I presented about Star Trek IDIC and Afrofuturism. 
The panel outlined the importance and need for representation for of all people. 
Not to be blind to race but to uplift ourselves and each other by understanding the positive impact of see oneself in a power role and thriving in the future. 
I talked about @NichelleNichols historic moments in Star Trek and society. 
She is a definite Afrofuturist. 
Her accomplishments effect her character’s story (Uhura name inspired by Ms Nichols reading), MLK, Whoopi into Guinan, NASA and a lifelong legacy of Positive movements!
